The QCS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Art McMahon has been contracted as the Head of School. You may ask, isn’t he already the Director and what is a Head of School? Yes, he has been Interim Director while the Board of Directors opened the position. “Head of School” is a title that better communicates his significant role and is consistent with other international American schools.
The role of the QCS Board is to “continuously elevate the quality of education delivered to current and future students”. With this in mind, we sought God’s direction, wisdom and discernment both corporately and individually. We did our research and work to make sure we had the best candidate options for QCS today and tomorrow.
After this process, we have full confidence in Art McMahon as our Head of School. Mr. McMahon has done the job set before him and has been a part of the QCS family for many years. We recognize his efforts in making the accreditation a success. He revitalized the school with the implementation of the Elementary playground and resurfacing of the football field. He reconnected us with our mission and vision, which are now not only in the handbook but written on the walls and integrated into our lives. Art’s relationship with parents, students, teachers and even the community is invaluable and has improved the overall morale and standing of the school. We would like to thank Mr. McMahon for accepting this long-term commitment to Quisqueya Christian Schools and it’s continuous improvement!
